Soil and sludge treatment plants ECOMIX

Description

SOLIDIFICATION AND STABILISATION OF WASTE

The ECOMIX soil and sludge treatment plant stands out as an advanced waste inertization station, specifically engineered to reduce the polluting potential, toxicity index, and hazard levels of contaminated materials. Through an engineered process based on targeted chemical and physical reactions such as matrix encapsulation, polymerization, adsorption, and controlled desorption pollutants and heavy metals are embedded into an inert molecular structure. This phenomenon transforms wastewater and sludge into solid, stable, and easily manageable compounds via a high-efficiency solidification process.
Concurrently, the system performs the chemical stabilization of materials, permanently inhibiting the release and leaching of contaminants thanks to the formation of compounds that remain insoluble over time. The operational outcome of this treatment is a non-hazardous material, fully eligible for environmental reclamation or disposal in lower-category landfills, significantly cutting management costs for ecological companies. The ECOMIX plant technology is capable of treating material streams with a moisture content of up to 70%, proving ideal for all types of shovelable matrices, both wet and dry. Thanks to a modular and flexible configuration, the plant can be tailor-made according to the required chemical-physical process and the specific needs of the user, guaranteeing high productivity and maximum operational reliability.

A HIGH-PERFORMANCE INERTISATION PROCESS

The ECOMIX inertisation plant consists of one or more hoppers for waste loading, one or more silos for storing the powdered materials (binders and/or reagents), and a continuous cycle mixing unit (for high hourly production rates) or a forced regime (for high quality final products). It represents an innovative solution for the treatment of compact, cohesive, and moisture-rich materials, such as contaminated soils, inert waste, clays, and sludges, which are traditionally difficult to handle, store, and mix. The hopper design prevents the formation of bridges or blockages, ensuring smooth material flow, while the patented extraction system at the bottom of each hopper guarantees the reliable discharge of cohesive and sticky wastes. The addition of powdered reagents is managed by automated dosing systems located above the mixer, fed from vertical or horizontal silos ensuring precise and uniform distribution throughout the process.

WASTE INERTISATION: SOIL, SLUDGE AND POWDER

The Sludge Treatment Plant  allows for the treatment and stabilization of a wide range of solid, muddy, and semi-solid waste, primarily inorganic in nature, originating from numerous manufacturing and industrial sectors. It finds its perfect application in metallurgy, chemistry, ceramics, textiles, petrochemistry, energy, and environmental remediation, allowing for the safe and regulatory-compliant management of sewage sludge, bottom ash, melting slag, flue-gas desulfurization dust, and industrial processing residues.
